Smaller and More Efficient

Wednesday, April 28th, 2004

Just throwing up a quickie to let any browsers know that I’ve thrown up a new pic in the gallery. Tis a very nice little image of Sasuke, that I think I did a pretty decent job on. Got lots of other images bouncing around in the attic, and soon I’ll actaully have time to start cranking them out. If I can stop reading books and playing ffxi that is. Oh, and I’ve been thinking about picking up a pcoket PC so I can conveniently note things and keep track of my life, high tech style. If anyone has any knowledge of such devices that they would like to share, I’d be more than happy to glean it. remember, that email addy is jonny86cats@yahoo.com.

This is Radio Clash

Sunday, April 11th, 2004

Merry Easter! Death to bunnies and marshmallow peeps alike! Down with easter egg moogles! Up with assholes breaking into my car and stealing the CD player that Dance Dance Chucknov was so kind to give me when my old radio bit the dust! On the up side, my car is now in need of a passenger side window, in addition to the front-end that it’s been missing for the past 4 years. Oh well. I’d bitch about it, but in the last hour I’ve already burned through the mildly pissed off stage. I mean, I’m almost more pissed that my Dead Kennedy’s cd was in the player -_-. The question that arises now, though, is that of whether or not I should cough up the money for a new window, or should I just get a new car since mine can’t be worth more than a few hundred bucks as it is. In any case, always remember that tape decks and portable players are the bomb.

In spite of that, there is some good news. The Gallery. Finally alive. Yay! This was mostly due to the helping hand of Pasty, the guy who wanted me to have a gallery so badly, he wrote me a php script to get it done in a more timely manner. And while I sit here, still waiting for the cops to show up so I can file a police report, I found the time to put this post in, as well as add all the links in the gallery. If there are any problems with it, be sure to let me know ;) . Rocks to the chest.

Hail to the King

Wednesday, April 7th, 2004

SO I’ve been busy busy busy for the last week making an uphill effort to drag my knowledge of HTML from the bowels of my memory and put them to use in building the art gallery. Heh. All I have to say is frames can eat a bag of hell. Slowly but surely it’s coming together, trust me on that one.

In much more important news though…

BRUCE “JESUS CHRIST” CAMPBELL!!!! GIVING ME BUNNY EARS!!!

If I ever had a keepsake, I think this is it. And yes I’m that ugly guy on the right, but in all fairness I think it’s a pretty bad picture of me. I’m not nearly that gruesome…at least I hope I’m not. :) In any event, I got to see the myth, the man, the legend, live and up close at a lecture he was giving at Kent State University. The lecture itself was a blast, mostly a hilarious diatribe on the breakneck decline of the quality and the appalling unoriginality of our modern television and movie industries. His wit is nothing short of solid gold, shining throughout the entire presentation as he debased Hollywood, network television, the horrors of reality tv, and the morons in the audience, among others. Now it may not sound like anything new, but the man did his research, and it’s much more interesting to hear the perspective of a person in the industry, as opposed to some angsty assface who hates “the man.” Aside from that it was damn good to meet one of the few people I could actually consider a hero, a god, a shiny false idol that I’m more than happy to worship and burn in hell for. And while I’m being a complete waste of a fan-boy, I should mention that I also had him sign my Evil Dead lunchbox, and had him briefly relate to me some of the stories that Sam Raimi’s brother had from working at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown. Stories which seemed to be chock full of large objects being stuck in men’s asses. I was the happiest boy on earth.

More to come.
