Smash!

So running across this survey I just couldn’t resist. I think the results explain why I sometimes throw furniture, can sometimes lift more than people who are stronger than me, and why I had so much fun playing Ultimate Destruction on the Xbox.

Devil Industry shirts

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Ok buyers.

What’re you willing to pay to get my next shirt? If I do them on sky blue like I had planned, they’ll be 21 bucks each, and to do them on a charcoal gray will drive it up to 25 bucks a pop. That’s your cost. Mine isn’t much less than that, so I gotta know if y’all are willing to pay that kinda moolah for me to pretty much break even on the deal.  Spread the word to all the usual shirt lovers and get back to me via email on this one so I can know if I should bother going ahead with the printing or not.

The image for the shirt in question is here.

Much love.

More Design

So I’m slapping another design project up here because it’s finished. The project was to take one of my logos I put on display two posts ago and design a branding identity package for it. So I made letterhead, an envelope and a business card for Creative Artists Management. Good stuff.

Skybus ees Kapüt

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

So I received this email about half an hour ago:

Dear Skybus Customer:

We regret to inform you that Skybus Airlines will cease all operations effective 12:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5. As a result, your Skybus flight has been cancelled.

Skybus will not be processing refunds directly. To arrange for a refund on your reservation, please contact your credit card company directly. If you purchased flight insurance for your reservation, please refer to your insurance confirmation from AIG for information on filing a claim.

Skybus struggled to overcome the combination of rising jet fuel costs and a slowing economic environment. These two issues proved to be insurmountable for a new carrier.

We deeply regret the impact this decision will have on our customers, as well as our employees and their families, vendors, suppliers, airport officials and others in the cities in which we have operated. Our financial condition is such that our Board of Directors felt it had no choice but to cease operations.

More information will be made available on the Skybus web site (www.skybus.com).

What does that mean? Well, I suppose that means my trip to Columbus in May is off. Special thanks to the  FAA, the Bush administration and OPEC for ruining my vacation.

Upgrade complete

So I’m trying a little something new with the formatting of my page here. I’ve always had a sort of separate gallery entity, but I’m going to try to integrate it straight into my WordPress posts and I’ll see how it goes. This, version 2.5 of WordPress, includes some new swanky gallery features. I figure if it’s easier for me to put posts together then I’ll be more apt to do so. I’ll start with my most recent additions to my graphic design catalogue and work forward/backward from there as I see fit. For the moment I’ll be putting all the images after a more tag inserted into my post, as to assist with faster load times. You true believers let me know if you’d like to see more glitz and glamor on the front page.

As an added bonus, each image has it’s own little page, and individual comments can be left. Especially helpful if you wish to praise/criticize a particular image. Enjoy.
