Oblogatory Post

Monday, June 9th, 2008

This is more or less a touching base post since it’s been a while between entries. I blame twitter partially for my lack of blogging, but mostly I haven’t had much to show/say recently.

Summer has been kind of slow. I’ve mostly been busy working every day since I picked up an extra job for the summer to pay off my pretty macbook pro purchase. I think the intent behind getting it in the first place was for graphic design work and to use it as a work computer, but I’ve found myself at my desktop for work since a 22″ monitor is easier to work with when looking at somewhat low-res images. Mostly the MBP is being abused as a gaming computer, allowing me to catch up on the backlog of games I never got around to touching since my desktop is out of date and the only console I own is a Wii. I think I’ve fallen into a certain genre of gaming involving mad science and magic in the 1920s-1950s. The last two games I’ve taken up and really enjoyed were On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, and Bioshock. Combine that with the Pulp Heroes project Pasty and I have taken up, and I find myself in a very strange niche. Makes me wonder what mandrake is doing with the Diaries of Reggie Lovecraft…

I think the time has come for me to get back to mapping work. I’m trying to get some sort of regular blogging schedule down, and to do that I think I’m going to try to narrow the content of this page and maybe kick open a more “personal” blog elsewhere. This one is far too meandering to get anywhere as it is.

Until next time!
